Button Mash This! : Wii wish we knew how to quit you
Welcome to this week’s edition of Button Mash This! It looks like our passion for gaming is getting noticed around here as some of our readers have been kind enough to tip us off about successful exercise regimes and incredible portable machines. Thanks for beating me to the punch, folks. But let’s see if I still have a few tricks up my sleeve. Hold on to your nunchucks… here we go!
Modding DJs, Virtual Arcades, and Friend Code Databases… oh my
Modding. Seriously, where do people find the time?! This clip [via GoNintendo] of a DJ using a wiimote to manipulate his audio mix and his counterpart VJ using a DS to manipulate the accompanying video further strengthens my belief that Japanese people are totally awesome.
And as if there weren’t already a trillion cool things to do on your Wii, now you can also play a myriad of rad flash games by directing your console’s internet browser over to WiiCade.com [via Game|Life]. A little weary of the selection? Here’s a sample of the games that are available.
According to my Wii, I have no friends. But with the help of “the world’s largest Wii number database” MapWii.com, I can make Nintendo pals all over the world in a jiffy. Rannie and I aren’t registered on the site yet, but he has enough friends. If you feel like making a winner out of me though, feel free to add 0912 5881 2155 8789 to your lists and comment with your codes below so I can add you too. Hurry, my Miis are lonely!
The Movies for Mac
Titles for Mac gamers come few and far between. But once in a while, someone throws us a bone. Lionhead Studios announced its release of the critically acclaimed Sim-like game, The Movies for the Mac [via Kotaku]. For you try-before-you-buy types, there is a free English demo for download. I’ve played about 10-15 minutes of it so far. And while you can’t publish your own movies to share in this version, the freeware still gives you a good idea of what the game has to offer you later on. If you’re down with the micro-managing goodness, definitely give this one a whirl.
Oh My God of War
Anyone with a PS2 has played God of War and has loved it. And if you haven’t yet, well you should be dragged to the edge of a tall cliff to plummet swiftly to your grim death… which coincidently also happens in the opening cutscence for the game. Anyways, GOW is easily one of my favourite games of all time so when I came upon these Kratos action figures [via Destructoid] a was a little more than psyched. Excuse me while I wipe off the drool from the keyboard. Now until I can get my hands on one of these bad boys, I’ll continue to dream of the PSP port that may never be.
And now for something totally random…
I can spit out a savoury harmony and play a pretty mean rhythm guitar, but aside from that I’m pretty talentless. These people, however, have mashed up their arts and crafts skills with something we love — what else could it be in this feature except videogames. Behold the ultimate perler bead art collection [via 4cr], the Tetris tote bag [via Wonderland], and the Nintendo baby blanket [via PocketGamer]. Til next week… now I’m off to buy WarioWare: Smooth Moves!

There’s also http://wiifii.net/ for Flash Wii games
wiiiiiiii!
They’ve got LineRider… nice!
