Button Mash This! - I

Alright, MacWorld came and went and everyone already knows the iPhone is jaw-droppingly gorgeous. So… can we proceed now? Great, because I’m starting off this week’s BMT with something unheard of: Sony-related links *gasp*. Hold on to your handhelds… here we go!

We love Nintendo. Maybe not as much as this YouTuber [seriously check out his videos], but a lot. Rannie loves Canon. It’s like saying the sky is freakin’ blue. But I must admit, I’m a bit of a Sony nerd too. And say what you will about it, but the PSP is still one fine piece of portable awesomeness and I have yet to give it up to the dust-collecting gods. Scoffers and naysayers, I challenge you to read these 10 reasons why 2007 will be the best year yet for PSP. It may just make you believe again. Besides, how can you hate a handheld with so many cool free downloadable demos available for it? Of course, there is another way to score free PSP games. But if you don’t win, there’s always Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars to anxiously await for. FYI: This was one of Rannie’s favourite arcade games. Remember arcades?!

Nintendo and The Internet : Can’t We All Just Get Along?!
The beta version of Opera for the Wii is out in full swing now. For the most part, it’s been gravy on top of an already delicious mound of Nintendo goodness. But that isn’t to say people still aren’t nitpicking away at it — where’s the tab browsing? where’s the widget support? where’s the love?!!? According to Wired’s Chris Kohler, the only thing stopping Opera from being a more robust browser on the Wii is Nintendo themselves. Quelle dommage. Well while the big boys at the big N get their acts together, why don’t you try using one of these WordPress Ultimate Gamer’s Pack plugins to make your sites a little more console-friendly. Old school back again
And while we’re on the topic of trying stuff out, why not take on a VC game while you’re at it. Don’t know where to start? The Virtual Console Archive [via Kotaku] can help you out, cataloguing all available Virtual Console games for the Wii to date. Personally, I want to get Ristar. Anyone else played this yet?

OMG, I want it!
No one ever warned us we’d be going through our Wii-mote controller batteries so fast. The hidden cost of seemingly endless amounts of double AAs is slowly becoming more apparent. So what do you do? Take the batteries out of remotes from far more inferior products? Not anymore! Such an act will be a thing of the past with the Nyko Rechargeable Station recently announced at last week’s CES. The 3rd party accessories powerhouse is also bringing the Nyko Wireless Wii Sensor Bar to further free us from our wired shackles. Now, for the love of Rayman Raving Rabbids, can someone PLEASE make a wireless nunchuck already!?

And now for something totally random…
Both Rannie and I really dig this all-in-one solution. But for those of you who are never truly satisfied with retail accessories, we bring you this DIY Nintendo DS case, cross-stitched to resemble an original NES controller. [via Bombaysally]
